The question of who is welcome at Dreamtime has been raised here on tribe.
Time for some clarity.
If you find yourself alinged with the values and vison, and able to respect the relatively few boundaries in place that enable the event to continue, you are invited.
I will begin by restating some of the DT values, including self reliance (which differs greatly from rainbow ideas as I understand them), clear communication and boundaries, abundance (including financial abundance), creativity, leave no trace and integrity, dedication and follow through aka get shite done (see the website for more about the DT values and vision).
None of this relates directly to the hippie stereotype or those that choose to take on hippie, rainbow, burner, etc. as part of their identity. Anyone that finds themselves aligned with these DT values is invited to join us regardless of the identity label or subcultural label they choose to take on. Dreamtime resists becoming an event tied to one stereotype or subculture - and in that sense, Dreamtime is not a ¨hippie¨ event, is not a ¨burner¨ event, it is DREAMTIME and is focused on its own values and unique vision, which transcends borders and stereotypes.
In fact, DT to date has acted as a wonderful bridge and mixing of subcultures, all united by the unique vision. And it this is sure to continue.
